Conflict of Interest Policy

The Glow: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat upholds the highest standards of scientific integrity and editorial independence. A conflict of interest occurs when professional, personal, financial, or institutional relationships inappropriately influence or bias judgments regarding the publication and peer-review process of academic manuscripts.

A conflict of interest may arise when personal, financial, academic, or professional relationships compromise an individual's objective judgment. Conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Conflicts: Stock ownership, honoraria, research funding from commercial entities, patent ownership, or employment relationships with organizations directly invested in the publication outcomes.
  • Non-Financial Conflicts: Personal or familial relationships, academic rivalry, institutional affiliations, and ideological or political beliefs that directly influence data interpretation or review decisions.

FOR AUTHORS

Authors must disclose all financial, commercial, institutional, or personal relationships that could be perceived as biasing their research, analysis, or interpretation. This includes grant support, consultancy roles, or employment ties relevant to the submitted study on public governance and civil society.

FOR REVIEWERS

Reviewers must decline evaluation assignments if they have prior personal or professional connections with the authors, institutional affiliations with the contributing university/agency, or direct competitive research interests that compromise objective, double-blind peer review.

FOR EDITORS & EDITORIAL BOARD

Editors must recuse themselves entirely from handling manuscripts authored by colleagues, current institutional affiliates at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Sultan Agung, or close personal associates. Such submissions are independently managed by alternative editorial board members to ensure strict impartiality.
