PENGARUH DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA GURU DENGAN KOMITMEN SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERATING PADA SMP NEGERI 6 PEMATANG SIANTAR
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out: 1. The description of work discipline, commitment, and teacher performance at SMP Negeri 6 Pematang Siantar. 2. The Influence of work discipline on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 6 Pematang Siantar. 3. The Influence of work discipline on teacher performance with commitment as moderating variable at junior high school 6 Pematang Siantar. This research was conducted using library and field research designs. The population in this study were 35 civil servant teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Pematang Siantar. The types of data used are qualitative data and quantitative data. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection is done by interview, questionnaire, and documentation. The research instrument test is validity test and reliability test. The technical analysis used is normality test, qualitative descriptive analysis, and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results can be concluded as follows: 1. Work discipline and teacher performance are good, and commitment is high. 2. There is positive influence between work discipline on teacher performance and commitment is able to moderate the influence of work discipline on teacher performance. 3. There is moderately and positive correlation between work discipline and teacher performance, and high and positive correlation between work discipline and teacher performance moderated by commitment. Then the level of teacher performance can be explained by work discipline and commitment as moderating variable. 4. H0 is rejected, meaning that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Likewise, commitment can significantly moderate the relationship between work discipline and teacher performance at SMP Negeri 6 Pematang Siantar.
