Abstract

The purposes of this study are: To find out 1. overview of leverage, profitability and company value of food and beverage sub – sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2021. 2.  to determine the effect of leverage and profitability on the value of the company in the Food and beverage sub – sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2021 both simultaneously and partially. The results of this study using descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: 1) the average value of leverage and profitability tends to increase, while the value of the company tends to decrease; 2) the results of multiple linear regression can be seen that leverage has a positive effect and profitability has a negative effect on the value of the Company; 3) the results of correlation coefficient analysis show that there is a moderate relationship between leverage and profitability with the value of the company. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination show that leverage and profitability are able to explain most of the company's value and the remainder is influenced by other variables; 4) simultaneous test results (F test) show that cash turnover and inventory turnover have a positive and significant effect on profitability; 5) partial test results (t test) show that leverage has a positive and significant effect on the value of the company, while profitability has a negative and insignificant effect on the value of the company.
