PENGARUH PERAN KEPEMIMPINAN DAN TANGGUNG JAWAB TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI PADA KANTOR KECAMATAN SIANTAR MARIMBUN KOTA PEMATANG SIANTAR
Abstract
The objectives of this study are 1. To find out the description of the leadership role, responsibility and performance of employees at the Siantar Marimbun Sub-District Office of Pematang Siantar City. 2. To determine the influence of leadership roles and responsibilities on employee performance at the Siantar Marimbun Sub-District Office, Pematang Siantar City, both simultaneously and partially.
This research uses literature research design and field research. The population in this study was 30 employees of the Siantar Marimbun Subdistrict Office of Pematang Siantar City. The types of data used are qualitative data and quantitative data. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire method, interview method and documentation method. Test research instruments with validity tests and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques include: normality test, qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis.
The results of this study can be concluded as follows: 1. The leadership role, responsibility and performance of employees are good. 2. There is a positive influence between leadership roles and responsibilities on employee performance both simultaneously and partially. 3. There is a moderately high corelation between leadership roles and responsibilities and employee performance. Then the high and low performance of employees can be explained by leadership roles and responsibilities. 4. Hypothesis test result: H0 rejected means that there is a positive and significant influence between leadership roles and responsibilities on employee performance both simultaneously and partially.
The suggestions from the results of this study are: 1. To improve the role of leadership, leaders should get closer to employees. 2. To increase responsibility, employees should manage time effectively and more kindly. 3. To improve employee performance, employees should further increase their sense of responsibility and prioritize service over work.
