Abstract

The purposes of this study are: 1. To determine the influence of principal’s role, creativity and teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Siantar Kabupaten Simalungun. 2. To determine the influence of principal’s role and creativity on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Siantar Kabupaten Simalungun either simultaneously or partially. This study uses library research and field research design. The population in this study are 37 teacher of PNS at SMP Negeri 2 Siantar Kabupaten Simalungun. The type of data used are qualitative data and quantitative data. Data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data are collected by questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The research instrument test used are validity test and reliability test. The analysis technique used are normality test, qualitative descriptive analysis, and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1. Principal’s role, creativity, and teacher performance are good. 2. Principal’s role and creativity have positive influence on teacher performance both simultaneously and partially. 3. Principal’s role and creativity have moderately high and positive correlation with teacher performance both partially and simultaneously. The level of teacher performance can be explained by principal’s role and creativity. 4. H0 is rejected, means that there is a positive and significant influence between principal’s role and creativity on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Siantar Kabupaten Simalungun both partially and simultaneously.
